Cruiser skateboard decks are, as the name suggests, designed for cruising. Their shapes are therefore wider/shorter or different than regular skateboards and have larger wheels, allowing for fast and comfortable movement. Cruiser decks are more reminiscent of old-school skateboards. These boards are therefore very popular among old-school skaters who want to get back into skating after a few years, but don't necessarily need to perform all sorts of technical tricks. Filmmakers also often choose cruisers because they can ride more stably and comfortably behind the skater they're filming.
