Skateboard sizes depend largely on personal preference. However, we recommend the following:
Skateboard deck children's sizes
If children want to start skateboarding, it's important that they use a narrower skateboard. It can be very difficult to get a wider skateboard off the ground and requires more foot strength. Because your feet are still growing, they also fit more easily on narrower boards.

From 14 to 15 years old, kids usually go for the longer version. From this point on, age is no longer a factor, and you can choose the width based on your preference. Wider skateboard Street and park skateboarding is the trend. In the past, 7.75” was a standard skateboard size, but now we see that the smallest size is 8.0” and most people skate 8.25”-8.5”.
