DGK started out as a quirky Philadelphia skateboarding crew but has grown into one of the most influential skateboarding and apparel brands of the moment. DGK founder Stevie Williams and his friends would meet daily at the legendary LOVE Park and were disparagingly called "dirty ghetto kids" by other skaters. Soon after, Stevie and his crew took over LOVE Park and adopted DGK as their nickname. Years later, when Stevie turned pro for teams likeChocolate,most of his friends had already quit skating. Yet, Stevie continued to represent his old crew, and in 2002, he founded the eponymous brand. While the crew's composition may have changed, DGK still represents brotherhood, skating, chilling, and having fun with your friends. DGK's apparel and skateboards have a distinctive, instantly recognizable style, characterized by bold slogans, vibrant colors, and original prints. They draw inspiration from classic sportswear, smoking weed, and, of course, skateboarding.
